Summer?

It seriously feels like Summer out today. Breezy, not a cloud in the sky, high in the 70s. I could just close my eyes and picture I'm at Lanikai beach in Hawai'i (maybe my favorite place in the whole wide world).

I'm waiting for Roger to get back from the Barber and then we're heading to the park with a big blanket & snacks to nap, read, snap some pics, and just enjoy the day.

Happy Saturday!

Happiness

Happiness is genuinely reconnecting with an old friend
with whom you had lost touch.

Happy Weekend!

Best Wedding Discovery!

This is seriously the greatest thing since Roger proposed to me.

Wait for it...

It's a website where you can link ANYTHING sold on the web and list it on a registry!

Hooray!

Down with the Bed, Bath & Beyond tyranny!
Up with quirk & independent design!

You can even prioritize items from
"I'm thinking about this" to "I want this" to "I neeeed this!"

I think one of the first things I want to list are these memo/graph paper cups from Fishs Eddy.
Definitely not found at BB&B.

Billy Got the Call

I just found out that my brother, Billy, got the call to be the new backup goalie for the Unionville varsity lacrosse team!

Woot for the former backup varsity lacrosse goalie and his terrible grades that have forced him off the team!!!

Anyway, I'm really proud of him (as a freshman) getting on the varsity team. Billy said that he's glad this came up so he can take advantage of the opportunity. Awww. And then he asked my mom to bring extra Gatorade.
Varsity =  steppin' it up

p.s.  this is one of my favorite photos of him - being silly with a lobster on our last Cape Cod trip

Happy Friday!

A beautiful day outside! And I biked to work today for the first time this year. Yes, I am a fair-weather bike commuter. I found a route that is relatively quiet (no buses) and much less stressful than biking from our former place. The first time biking to work in... oh, let's say 6 months... always reminds me how out of shape I am. Room for improvement!

p.s. I'd really like to own this bike

p.p.s Happy Friday! Try to get outside today if it's nice where you are!

Forrestbound tote bag

for me, for you posted this tote bag just a little bit ago, and I'm already in love.

sturdy, worn-in light grey canvas salvaged from a WWII era east german military duffel bag has been paired with a beautiful dark brown leather to create a classic every day tote bag.

the fabric used to create this bag is over 60 years old but still in the greatest condition. any discoloration of the material is the result of many, many years of natural wear and aging.

stitching from the original duffel bag has been incorporated into this tote to highlight the unique nature of the material.

lined with cream colored canvas, this large tote is perfect for everyday use. just the right size for carrying your groceries from the farmers market, library books, a laptop, etc. two good-sized inside pockets can easily hold a cell phone, wallet, keys, ipod.

long, comfortable shoulder straps constructed out of dark brown leather.

tote measures approximately 15 inches wide, 15.5 inches tall, 6 inches deep.

one of a kind.
