Today I love...

Hawaii-printed US currency, used during WWII, when the government was afraid that Japan would soon takeover the islands.

I remember hearing stories from my grandmother about living in Honolulu right after Pearl Harbor. Curfews, blackout curtains, and gas-masks were everyday practices.

I love the font juxtaposition on the money, and the history behind it. Oh, if only I could find some of this money to frame. That would be so cool.
